One of the most important steps for an artist is to prepare his portfolio in the most accurate and effective way. The portfolio is a window to the artist’s inner world. It should consist of information about the artist and 5 to 15 visuals of his works.
Billur Tansel will give a one-day lecture entitled “Portfolio Preparation Workshop for the Artists” will be repeated several times throughout the year at Open Dialogue Istanbul. The workshop will be shaped around questions such as what is a portfolio, how it should be prepared, what it should consist of and what should be paid attention to according to whom the portfolio is prepared for.
The way of preparing and presenting the portfolio will give a preliminary information about the professional attitude and reveal the value of the artist attaches to his works. In the preparation phase, one of the most important things for an artist is to determine his goals. With this in mind, it is essential to prepare the portfolios according to these already determined targets. Those who want to participate to this workshop must submit their portfolios consisting of their curriculum vitaes and visuals of their works in compliance with announced deadline.
